Fresh Air Systems Suffolk

Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recover (MVHR) Installers

Current building regulations require high levels of insulation and air-tightness, which can result in poor indoor air quality as condensation and stale air generated from cooking, cleaning and bathing etc remain trapped. Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) provides a solution to these problems, significantly improving ventilation and air quality. These system also recover the heat from the air that would otherwise be lost outside.

Enietherm specialises in the design, supply and installation of Fresh Air systems MVHR for retail, commercial, industrial & domestic properties. Your individual requirements will be carefully considered by our team, and we will advise you on what type of Fresh Air system is best for your specific needs.

We will design a system perfect for what you need - and once your system is installed, we can keep your Fresh Air system working at optimum performance with our servicing and maintenance services.

Benefits of a Fresh Air System MVHR

Great indoor air quality and environment

  • Supply of fresh air & good indoor air quality
  • No build up of air pollution from carpets, cleaning, cookiing etc
  • Elimination of bad odours
  • An air flow path throughout the building for ventilation
  • Less noise inside (windows can remain closed)
  • No drafts (in conjunction with an airtight building fabric)

Prevent mould, fungus, dust mites & allergens

  • Pollen filters are a great advantage for allergic people
  • Filtered air removes pollutants from the outside air
  • Keeps midges out of the house

Humidity Control

  • Prevents the build up of moisture in the building
  • Preservation of the building fabric through steady ventilation
  • Some systems provide a monitoring function to check the air quality and humidity

Efficiency & Saving Energy

  • Around 30% of heat energy can be saved in airtight buildings with highly efficient MVHR systems (compared to naturally ventilated buildings)
  • Very little energy is needed to operate the system

Fresh Air Systems MVHR - Your Questions Answered

How do Fresh Air Systems work?

Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation (MVHR) is a system that works to extract excess moisture in the air whilst also recovering the heat loss from the building meaning that it provides your home with ventilated air but does not lose as much heat as direct ventilation.

Mechanical ventilation heat recovery systems (MVHRs) are usually stored in the loft, kitchen cupboard or even the garage. They help to considerably improve the overall energy efficiency of your home and the health of anyone living there.

MVHR systems trade stale air for fresh, but they also recover the heat from warmer rooms like bathrooms and kitchens and re-use the heat to warm cooler parts of the home. Helping to significantly cut down on your heating bills.

Stale air basically passes out through the system’s heat exchanger to the outside, whilst retaining the heat. Fresh air comes into the system, which warms it with the retained heat, and passes back onto the house.

MVHR systems are extremely effective in reducing both condensation and humidity in a room. Less damp environments make it more difficult for mould and dust mites to grow.
